November 2014 WPK and Van der Lugt registered with three projects for the highest tranche of the SDE + subsidy on solar energy. We think an excellent stimulant to invest in an environmentally friendly manner. This was also thought by the provider of subsidies, who approved all three projects. Together they will generate about 500,000 kWh per year in the next 25 years.
In autumn 2015 the barn roof of the WPK establishment (Aaksterlaan in 's-Gravenzande) was replaced. The roof was covered with asbestos-containing corrugated iron plates. It was about time to replace it by an isolated barn roof. At the same time we placed an installation of 100 Watt peak* (Wp).
To be followed by the roof of the existing premises of Van der Lugt in spring 2016. A large installation of 330 Wp is installed. Recently, the sustainable improvement to make use of solar energy is also implemented at WPK in Made. A bended sandwich roof panel is placed on one part of the premises, and on top an installation of 200 Wp.
- Watt peak is the unit of measurement used to indicate the power of solar panels in accordance with internationally established standards.
