The Aster originates from North America. There are some species which naturally occur in the wild in the Netherlands, but they are not cultivated as an ornamental plant. The Aster Novi Belgii is mainly cultivated as an ornamental plant. House & Garden grow two types of Aster, namely the Aster Tiara and the Aster Mystery Lady. Both are double-flowered varieties.
